“Tamim came out of the net right after the blow which was a sign of worry. But it’s too early to say anything about that. We can be sure after a scan,” Courtney Walsh, Bangladesh bowling coach, told the media at the Oval.

Rabid Imam, Media Manager of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), told that Tamim is feeling good and there is nothing wrong in the initial x-ray report. But the team management wants him to undergo another scan as a precautionary step on Saturday (June 1).

“We want to be sure that he is fine,” Imam added.

Tamim was rested for the practice match against India at Cardiff this week due to slight muscle spasm.

Bangladesh will play their first match of the World Cup against South Africa in the same venue on Sunday (June 2).
