Women cricketers see ranking elevation after Asia Cup victory

Rumana Ahmed, the Player of the match in the final with 23 off 22 balls in batting and 2-22 in bowling, climbed six places to move to 12th in the all-rounders' list to achieve her best ever position.
Off-spinner Khadija Tul Kubra gained career-best 537 points to reach the 13th spot among bowlers.
Once the no. 1, Tigresses skipper Salma Khatun, now sits at 12th position in the allrounder’s list – still one spot ahead of Rumana.
India Women’s team captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, the player of the 2018 Asia Cup tournament with 215 runs, jumped ahead one spot, securing 7th position in the batting ranking.
India leg-spinner Poonam Yadav and Pakistan left-arm spinner, Anam Amin entered the top five of the women's T20I rankings.
Yadav vaulted to third place on the list, while Amin made a remarkable ascension of 13 places to move to fifth position.
On Jun 10, Bangladesh women made history in Kuala Lumpur, when they beat the Indian team to clinch the first-ever Women’s Asia Cup title.
Batting first, six-time champions in a row, India, posted 112 for nine wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh faltered midway but managed to hold on against Indian bowling to reach home in the very last delivery of the match, scoring 113 for seven wickets in 20 overs.
Bangladesh beat India twice and Pakistan once in the tournament.
