The National Parliament Monday congratulated the women’s cricket team for being champion in Asia Cup T20 Tournament in Malaysia.

At the beginning of Monday’s morning session Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury conveyed the greetings on behalf of the National Parliament.

The Speaker said, “This achievement has brought unique glory and respect for Bangladesh. I congratulate the women's cricket team of Bangladesh for this achievement.”

Mentionable, Bangladesh became Asia Cup Champion for the first time on Sunday after beating India by 3 wickets in the final in Malaysia. The President and Prime Minister also congratulated the women’s cricket team after the historic victory.
