A four-wicket haul by Masrhafe Bin Mortaza, coupled with Nazmul Alam’s three-for, helped Riders Riders restrict Comilla Victorians to 63 all out in their Bangladesh Premier Leauge (BPL) match in Dhaka on Tuesday (Jan 8).
Victorians’s 63 is their lowest first-innings total and fourth lowest first-innings total in the history of BPL.
Riders won the toss and sent Victorians to bat. Victorians struggled from the start of their innings losing five wickets for just 18 runs
Mashrafe took four of them for 11 runs which was his best-ever bowling figure in a T20 match.
The Riders captain surpassed his previous best bowling in the BPL of three wickets for 16 runs.
Shahid Afridi, the Pakistani star, was the only batsman to reach a double-digit score for the Victorians. He scored 25 off 18 balls with three fours and one six.
Besides Mashrafe, Nazmul Islam took here wickets while Shafiul Islam bagged another two.
In their first match of the ongoing BPL, Victorians beat Sylhet Sixers by four wickets.
On the other hand, Rangpur Riders won their previous match against Khulna Titans after losing the first match to Chittagong Vikings.
