Bangladesh face Myanmar in Olympic Asian Qualifiers Thursday

Bangladesh Olympic women’s football team take on host Myanmar in their opening group C match of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament 2020 Asian Qualifiers round 1 scheduled to be held on Thursday at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.
The match kicks off at 6pm (local time).
Addressing at a pre-match press conference on Wednesday Bangladesh’s team head coach Golam Robbani Choton and Bangladesh team’s skipper Sabina expressed their high hope to have a good result for the country, reports BSS.
“We came here to learn more and lot from this tournament…… team has been undergoing good preparation for last one year…… we’ll try our best for having good a result and also will try to play good football in this tournament,” Choton said at a pre match media briefing.
He said all the participating teams are strong in this Group so it would be a great opportunity for her girls to learn more.
Choton also hoped that his girls would give their best effort and play competitive football in this tournament.
Bangladesh team’s captain Sabina said: “We’ll give our best effort in all the matches… Myanmar is a strong team and it will be the first time we are playing match against Myanmar, we will play a good match tomorrow, Please play for us.”
Myanmar head coach Win Thu Moe said: “We are the favorite in this group and also we are in good position in FIFA ranking .... we played some friendly matches against China and Japan as a part of preparation .... we’ll try to win all the matches to qualify for the next round.
Bangladesh is now a good organized team but have less experience than us. So they also have chance to do good result because two team can qualify from each Group, he added.
Bangladesh will play their second group match against India on November 11, will meet Nepal in their last group match on November 13 at the same venue.
