Women’s International Master Shamima Akter Liza (Rating 2152) beat Women’s Fide Master Coimbra Margarida (Rating 2068), WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin (Rating 1974) defeated Silva Mariana Sofia (Rating 1924), WIM Rani Hamid beat Silva Ana Ines Teixeira Da (Rating 1890) and WFM Tanima Parveen (Rating 2022) drew with WFM Jorge Rita Maria Osorio (Rating 1870). Bangladesh women’s team earned four points after the completion of the third round, reports Dhaka Tribune.
Meanwhile in the open category, Bangladesh, seeded 64th, lost to Vietnam, seeded 27th, by 1.5-3.5 points. Only Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib (Rating 2452) drew with IM Nguyen Anh Khoi (Rating 2463).
GM Mollah Abdullah al Rakib (Rating 2472) lost to GM Le Quang Liem (Rating 2715), GM Ziaur Rahman (Rating 2477) lost to GM Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son (Rating 2620) and FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (Rating 2263) lost to GM Tran Tuan Minh (Rating 2491). Bangladesh team garnered four points after the third round.
The fourth round games were scheduled to be held Thursday with Bangladesh taking on Algeria in the open event and the Bangladesh women facing their Estonia counterparts.
