Bangladesh Cricket TeamRashid Khan slammed a fifty with Gulbadin Naib to power Afghanistan to a strong total sixth match of the ACC Asia cup against Bangladesh at Abu Dhabi.
They have set a 257-run target for the Tigers.
Afghanistan elected to bat first after winning the toss at Abu Dhabi.
Abu Hider, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque get included in the starting eleven in place of injured Tamim Iqbal, Mustafizur Rahman and Mushfiqur Rahim who have been rested ahead of Friday's crucial encounter against India in the super four stages.
Having already qualified for the Super Four stage after knocking out Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan is playing the last league fixture in Abu Dhabi. The result of the match is truly inconsequential: no matter who finishes top of their respective groups, the tournament has been scheduled in such a manner that Bangladesh will face India in the first Super Four match on Friday, while Afghanistan will play Pakistan.
