A meeting between senior BNP leaders and Dhaka-based diplomats are in progress.
The meeting, which started at 5pm on Tuesday, is taking place at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office, said Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP chief’s press wing.
BNP will brief the diplomats on the current political situations, attacks on student protesters and recently-concluded city corporation polls, according to the party sources.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, National Standing Committee members, Moudud Ahmed, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and Riyaz Rahman were present in the meeting among others.
Among the diplomats were representatives of 13 countries including United States, Germany, Norway and Switzerland.
