Citizens of Dhaka city are waiting to clapback during the upcoming Dhaka City polls for being deprived of their voting rights in 11th National Election, says BNP mayoral candidate Tabith Mohammad Awal.
“The people are waiting to vote to counter their deprivation of voting rights in the national election last year,” Tabith said during his campaign at the capital’s Uttara on Saturday (Jan 11).
“The government keeps talking about development, which is vain in reality,” he said before adding that criminality, corruption, maladministration was going on.
“The city dwellers are not receiving the desired service even after paying tax,” Tabith said.
He added that winning the mayoral polls with BNP’s sheaf of paddy will be a fitting reply to the government.
