The mayoral candidates for the ruling Awami League and BNP have kicked off their campaign for the upcoming elections to Dhaka North and South slated for Jan 30.
Awami League’s pick for Dhaka North Atiqul Islam and Dhaka South Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh started their campaign on Friday (Jan 10).
Meanwhile, BNP’s Dhaka North candidate Tabith Awwal and South city candidate Ishraque Hossain started their campaign flanked by senior party leaders like Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and National Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas.
