Dhaka doesn’t want to strain ties with Delhi: Quader

“We are closely monitoring the NRC (National Register of Citizens) situation,” he said during a program at the Awami League headquarter on Sunday (Dec 15).
“India is our neighbour; a sovereign, independent country. Whatever is cleared in their parliament is their internal matter,” he added.
“Whatever reaction there is has been conveyed to the Indian high commissioner through the foreign ministry,” he said.
Saying that if any problem arises, they can be sorted through discussions, he added, “There is a scope for bilateral discussions with India.”
Responding to queries on the upcoming AL council, the general secretary said that it will be the most memorable of all the councils.
He, however, said that there won’t be any major changes in the committee.
