Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has warned of a “fitting reply,” if chaos is created surrounding the bail hearing of incarcerated BNP chief Khaleda Zia.
He made the remarks on Thursday (Dec 5), after paying homage at the grave of Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy on the occasion of his 56th death anniversary.
“Khaleda Zia has been proven guilty in court. The court has given her the sentence and her bail is the court’s matter,” he said.
He added that if BNP tries to create chaos regarding the issue, they will be given an appropriate reply.
The minister’s remarks following a ruckus created by pro-BNP lawyers after the Supreme Court deferred the bail hearing against Khaleda in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case.
