Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the purging operation will touch all layers of society.
“We are gathering information as to who has become rich all of a sudden; we will identify vile elements from all sections of society,” he said.
The road transport and bridges minister made the comment on Monday (Nov 11) at an event organized by Dhaka city Shecchashebak League.
“We want workers with impeccable images and leadership will come from the clean people.”

Warning workers and activists of fair weather friends, he said: “AL does not have a place for extortionists, looters, plunderers and drug dealers.”
