The student front of ruling Awami League, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)has started identifying the 'intruders' following the instruction of its parent organisation chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"We have started the verification process to purge the intruders with the help of BCL grass-root leaders, journalists, and intelligence members," Acting General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharya told a media briefing in Dhaka University on Wednesday (Oct 3).
The BCL would take immediate organizational actions and legal steps, if requires, against the intenders, Bhattacharya added.
The move came amid the outcry over the alleged involvement of at least 10 BCL leaders and activists of its Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology unit for killing a second-year student of the university, Abrar Fahad.
