Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud addresses a progamme at a Dhaka hotel on Friday (Jul 19). PIDInformation Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has slammed the BNP saying it is like a “limited company made of hired leaders.”
“Most of its leaders are hired; Mirza Fakhrul Islam, Moudud Ahmed and Ruhuk Kabir Rizvi and others have come from other parties,” he told the media on Thursday (Sept 12).
He added that during their student life, they were in other parties.
“The BNP took a diabolical form in 2012, 14 and 18 but the masses will not allow it to take a beastly form anymore,” Hasan, also the ruling Awami League’s publication and publicity secretary.
The minister’s comments came in reply to BNP National Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy’s exhortation which called for the BNP to relinquish human chains and turn in to a mammoth force.
Talking about infiltrators into AL’s student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League, he said: “This is a problem that can be solved.”
