“I highly doubt even you get to know when your detectives in collaboration with India’s RAW and Israel’s Mossad make someone disappear,” he said.
He added that the premier’s biggest gift to the nation on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary would be to return the missing to the family “alive or dead.”
Nagorik Oikkya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna who was also present at the program said that the government must acknowledge that these people have gone missing and demanded an impartial commission to investigate.
Bangladeshi Biplobi Workers Party General Secretary Saiful Hoque said that the government must sign the United Nations charter on disappearances and invite their international team to investigate the disappearances in the country.
