AL general secretary Obaidul Quader at a media briefingSaying that the dengue situation is still out of control, AL general secretary, Obaidul Quader, has said: “to clean the country of Aedis mosquitoes, everyone has to unite; otherwise, ministers, MPs will not survive.”

Quader expressed indignation saying that he has information of many AL workers and leaders who have avoided coming out to give a hand in dealing with the Dengue crisis.

The veteran AL leader made the comments on Tuesday (Aug 6), at the central office of AL while talking about tackling Dengue.

“The number of patients is rising in Dhaka city every day, and the situation is still out of control.”

Aedis mosquitoes will not discriminate between general people and those in power, so we need a combined effort to deal with the menace, he stated.

City cleaning drive is not for the photo sessions of workers and leaders, said Quader and added: “We are the fourth dirtiest city in the world and therefore, the proliferation of Aedis mosquitoes is nothing surprising; we must clean up the city and make it green.”
