BNP informed Yıldırım about coming BD election

The party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir briefed journalists about the 45-minute meeting held at Dhaka’s Hotel Sonargaon following the meeting on Tuesday evening.
“We had a discussion with the Turkish prime minister about Bangladesh’s current political situation, possible scenarios in the national elections and what BNP’s role could be in those circumstances,” said Fakhrul.
“We also discussed the current state of the incumbent government and the role it had played in holding a free and fair election… We have explained our stance on Bangladesh’s politics and election. They have also given their opinion.”
Turkish Prime Minister Binali YıldırımFakhrul, who was also a part of the delegation, led by Khaleda Zia, said, “The Turkish prime minister said he has come to talk with the Bangladesh government about how to honourably and safely return the Rohingya Muslims to their country.”
He added that Turkey also feels the need for a permanent solution to the Rohingya issue and that the country is collaborating with all friendly nations in this regard.
Fakhrul also praised Turkey and its people for the generosity it has shown to the Rohingyas and pointed out that the Turkish first lady’s visit to the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar had brought the world’s attention to the crisis.
