HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party, the official opposition in parliament, has appointed eight more members to its policymaking Presidium.

On Thursday (May 9), the party issued an order signed by Chairman Ershad.

Ershad appointed the leaders to the Presidium in line with the party charter’s Section 201 (Ka), said a statement sent to the media.

The eight JP leaders are Syed Didar Bakht, Kazi Mamunur Rashid, Zafar Iqbal Siddiqui, Nazma Akhtar MP, Abdus Sattar Mia, Alamgir Shikder Loton, Emran Hossain Mia, and Rana Mohammad Sohel MP.

However, according to the party charter, the total number of Presidium members should be 40 which the party crossed a while ago.
