Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh President AQM Badruddaza Chowdhury has called on the government to lift people’s life out of uncertainty.

He made the call on Wednesday (May 1) during a party event on the Mayday in the capital.  

“People’s lives are uncertain although according to the constitution everyone deserves their due respect and honour,” said Chowdhury before adding that the wages of workers in the readymade garment sector must be in par with the public servants.

Calling on the government to implement 6 months maternal leave for the RMG workers he said, “A significant part of the GDP is being generated from the apparel sector.”

Commenting on the recent rise in rape incidents, the former president demanded capital punishment for the rapists.
