The BNP has started the process of reforming and restructuring the party, says senior leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain.

“The process of reforms within the party has begun. We will identify the weaknesses in an effort to strengthen the party,” he said on Saturday (Feb 23) before urging party activists and supporters to stay strong and not lose heart.

The policymaking National Standing Committee member made the remarks during an event held at the capital’s National Press Club.

Hossain also called on the party activists to regroup to free the incarcerated party chief Khaleda Zia though waging a mass movement.

Terming the Dec 30 election as a farce, the BNP leader, “The basic rights of the people were snatched.”

He also mourned the deaths in the deadly Chawkbazar blaze and said, “All the chemical warehouses must be relocated or a similar incident may occur again.”
