Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad has left for Singapore for medical treatment.

A Singapore Airlines flight carrying the Leader of the Opposition took off at 12.40pm on Sunday (Jan 20) from Shahajalal International Airport in Dhaka, the party chief’s Deputy Press Secretary Khandakar Delwar Jalali told Bangla Tribune.

During the medical trip, Ershad will be accompanied by his younger brother Hossain Morshed, his wife Roksana Khan Morshed and the Party Presidium Member Major (retd) Khaled Akhter.

The central leaders of the party came to see him off at the airport.
