His comment to the media came on Saturday (Jan 5) in Cumilla, where he took a break during his trip to Noakhali to see the woman who was gang-raped for allegedly voting for paddy sheaf.

BNP Secretary General Alamgir also said, “Awami League and the administration have now become public enemies by snatching the voting rights of people.”

“A sense of fear has been prevailing in the country as a reign of terror was unleashed before, during and after the polls,” Alamgir said before adding, “We asked the Election Commission that they must take measures to stop this violence.”

Condemning the gang-rape incident in Noakhai, Fakhrul urged everyone to come forward and take a stand against violence.
