Amid speculations after HM Ershad’s hospitalization, his party confirms that its chief is fine and doesn’t need to be taken abroad.
Secretary General Ruhul Amin Howlader said on Wednesday (Nov 28) that he was “fine”.
“He is at the Combined Military Hospital for regular treatment and likely to be released in a day or two,” he told the media.
Responding to a query, Hawlader said that Ershad has been receiving treatment from a Singapore hospital for long, “but his present condition does not call for him to take to Singapore.”
The former military dictator was admitted to the CMH on Tuesday (Nov 27).
His press secretary Sunil Shuvo Roy told UNB the same day that Ershad, who serves as the special envoy to the PM, has been suffering from serious pain in his knees and some other complications.
