BNP has submitted a fresh list of 1,002 cases filed against its leaders and activists to the Prime Ministers’ Office (PMO), which the party described as ‘’fictitious.”
A party delegation handed over the list to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Personal Officer Ruhul Amin at 5:15pm on Tuesday (Nov 13), BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar confirms Bangla Tribune.
BNP Assistant Office Secretary Taiful Islam Tipu said, “Over 1,200 leaders and activists of the party are behind bars in these lawsuits with naming 46,000 others.
On Nov 7, BNP submitted the first list of 1,046 such cases to the PMO.
On Nov 1, the prime minister asked the BNP leaders to submit the list of its arrested leaders and activists during talks with Dr Kamal Hosain-led Jatiya Oikyafront at Ganabhaban.
