AL to sit with Oikya Front on Nov 7

Responding to the Jatiya Oikya Front’s request, the Awami League has scheduled a second round of talks with the Gano Forum chief Dr Kamal Hossain-led alliance.

The talks will be held at the PM’s official residence the Ganabhaban at 11am on Wednesday (Nov 7), Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader told the media on Sunday after a meeting of the 14-party Alliance.

Quader said, “We had a good discussion and the allies are for a general election in line with the Constitution.

“Leaders of the 14-Party alliance expressed their unwavering support to Sheikh Hasina’s leadership.”

14-party Alliance Spokesperson Mohammad Nasim echoed.

“The leaders stressed a timely election under the Constitution,’ said Nasim, who is the health minister and AL Presidium member.
