BNP not satisfied with talks: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir leaving the Ganabhaban after the talks between Awami League-led coalition and Jatiya Oikya Front on Thursday (Nov 1).The BNP is not satisfied over the talks with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led 14-Party alliance, says its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Speaking to the media emerging from Ganabhaban after the three-and-half-hour talks, he said the prime minister said they will hold further discussions.
“Several issues have been discussed. The prime minister said they will sit again. I on behalf of my party can say we’re not satisfied over the talks.”
The talks between the ruling party-led 14-Party alliance and Gano Forum chief Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikyafront, including BNP, began at Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhaban around 7pm and ended around 10:30pm.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina led a 23-member delegation while Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain 20-member Jatiya Oikya Front team in the discussion.
