Hasina to lead 22-strong team to talks with political parties

The Awami League (AL) has finalised a list of 22 leaders to take part in the talks with Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikya Front on Thursday (Nov 1) at the Ganabhaban.
AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lead the delegation, which includes representatives from parties in the 14-Party Alliance led by the ruling party, says a statement sent to the media by AL Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan.
The other members of the delegation from the Awami League are General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Advisory Council members Amir Hossain Amu and Tofail Ahmed, Presidium members Matia Chowdhury, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Mohammad Nasim, Kazir Zafar Ullah, Abdur Razzak and Ramesh Chandra Sen, Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Dipu Moni and Abdur Rahman, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and Legal Affairs Secretary SM Rezaul Karim, Law Minister Anisul Huq and Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon.
The allies in the 14-Party alliance will be represented by Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Workers’ Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, President of JaSaD faction Hasanul Haq Inu, Executive President of JaSaD faction Moin Uddin Khan Badal.
