Jatiya Party Chairman, Hussain Muhammad Ershad has said that his party will announce names of 300 candidates on Oct 20 for contesting in the upcoming national polls.

The Special Envoy to the prime minister, on a two day to Rangpur, made the announcement on Monday while talking to local journalists, reports BSS.

 “JP has completed all preparations toward the direction, finalised list of candidates and their names will be announced from the grand rally scheduled to be held on Sohrawardi Uddyan in the capital city on October 20,” Ershad said.

Responding to a question, the former dictator also said that there is no conflict with his wife (Rawshan Ershad, Leader of the House opposition party) and younger brother (Golam Muhammad Quader, JP’s Co-Chairman).

“Jatiya Party is much stronger than any time before. Our goal is to go to power,” Ershad added.
