The BNP will clarify its stance on the country’s political perspective and the 11th parliamentary election at its Dhaka rally, scheduled for Sept 29.
Sources at BNP said, they party will place its demands on the polls to the government as well as give messages to other parties, which are willing to form the national unity.
“Message on the party policy will come from that rally,” said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
BNP Organising Secretary Dr Skhawwat Hossain Jibon termed the party’s plan to clarify its stance on the political perspective and the upcoming polls ‘a new history in Bangladesh’s politics.’
The party is yet to receive the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s permission for the rally.
BNP Publicity Affairs Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said, “We went to the DMP (office) as we want to hold the rally either Sept 29 (Saturday) or Sept 30 (Sunday) at Suhrawardy Udyan.”
“The authorities concerned are yet to inform us,” said Annie.
