Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader says that a plot to install an unconstitutional administration, just like the one in 2007 referred as 1/11, is being hatched once again.
“A faction of the media sided with those who wanted to depoliticise the system. Once again the same faction is now conspiring to topple the Sheikh Hasina administration,” he told a discussion on Thursday.
He claimed that a faction of the media resorted to propaganda in the wake of the students' protests demanding safer roads. “They have portrayed the victims of the clashes as the attackers. Even one of our supporters, who lost an eye, was being passed off as a student.”
The senior AL leader said this to a discussion on National Mourning Day held by Bangladesh Chhatra League, Eden College unit, in the capital on Thursday.
On account of Bangabandhu’s killers, Quader who is also the bridges minister said that one of those will be here soon to have been punished.
Trump administration approached us positively on extradition of the killer living in the US. Our diplomacy is doing well in the regard, the minister stressed.
Criticizing Khaleda’s birthday celebration on Aug 15, Obaidul Quader claimed that those who set the vicious example are involved in conspiracies to overthrow the government in undemocratic way.
