Drivers and helpers of Jabal-e-Noor buses have been remanded in a case of killing two students of Shahid Ramij Uddin Cantonment College on Jul 29.
They are Md Enayet Hossain, 38, Md Shohag Ali, 35, Md Ripon Ali, 32 and Md Jobayer, 36.
They were produced before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kaisarul Hakim Monday and after hearing both sides, he granted seven days to quiz them in custody.
Earlier, on July 31, the investigation officer (IO) sought 10-day remand for them for proper and fair investigation, but the hearing could not take place as the IO forgot to bring the case docket. The judge later fixed the hearing date on Aug 6.
Meanwhile, the killer driver, Masum Billah, who ran over the two college students and owner of Jabal-e-Noor Transport company, Shahdat Hossain, were taken into 7-day remand on Aug 1.
