A convicted narcotrafficker, who has been sentenced 79 years of rigorous imprisonment, died at a hospital in Dhaka while undergoing treatment.
Amin Huda died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Friday (Mar 6) afternoon, said Iqbal Kabir Chowdhury, senior jail super of Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj.
The jail authorities have taken him to the hospital in August last due to illness, he added.
According to him, the body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
