In the wake of the Coronavirus alert, 312 Bangladeshis have come back from Wuhan, in China, while 23 Chinese nationals have come back to Bangladesh after spending holiday in their country.

Of these, ten have been taken to hospital with fever like symptoms and the rest are in quarantine at the Ashkona Hajj Camp.
The Chinese nationals have expressed dissatisfaction over the congested accommodation plus the sleeping facility on the floor.
Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has said that the people will be under surveillance for some time.
A Bangladeshi student in the camp expressed discontent at the living facility calling it more risky.
“If anyone is carrying any virus then the others may soon contact it because we are living in such a close proximity.”
The Ashkona hajj camp medical team has been made with former head of IEDCR, Dr Mushtaque Hossain as the head.
Dr Mushtaque Hossain said: “Quarantine is isolating people facing the possibility of infection during the incubation period which is usually seven days.”
He however said that there is always the risk of infection spreading in the public room where many people are staying.
Supporting the current format, chief scientific officer of IEDCR, Dr AS Alamgir, said: “This is how quarantined people are kept and if someone shows a symptom then that person will be taken to the hospital.”
“Of the inmates, seven were taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and three to CMH as their body temperature was higher than normal but no virus infection has been detected as yet.”
If any symptoms develop the special team of IEDCR will carry out tests and collect samples. Also, the family members of those who came back from Wuhan will be kept informed of the health condition of their near ones living in quarantine.
