The government has published a gazette appointing 2,202, who passed the 35th BCS examinations, to various cadres.
The public administration ministry issued an order on Tuesday (Jul 31).
The candidates will have to join the public service on Sept 3 and if any candidate does not join on that day the appointment will be cancelled, it said.
The Public Service Commission published the final result of 36th Bangladesh Civil Service examinations on October 17, 2017.
The PSC had recommended for appointing 2,323 candidates meaning that 121 were left off in the ministry order.
A total of 6,088 candidates took part in the written examinations in 36th BCS among 211,226 applicants who sat for the preliminary test.
