A clash has broken out between two groups of ruling Awami League (AL) over the campaign for the upcoming Dhaka City polls in Dhaka's Kamrangirchar
The incident was reported from Kamrangirchar's Borogram area on Friday (Jan 24), police said.
The clash took place between the supporters of the councillor candidates Mohammad Hossain and Saidur Rahman Ratan, Keraniganj police OC Mashiur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
Hossain is the AL-baked councillor aspirant for Ward 56 in the Dhaka South City Corporation polls rescheduled for Feb 1 while Ratan is running independently for the councillor post.

Rebel candidate Ratan alleged that followers of Hossain beat his supporters on Thursday (Jan 23) night during the campaign and vandalised four motorcycles.
He further said, "Hossain's followers also swept on us with hokey sticks when we began campaigning after Juma prayers in Borogram, leaving 14 people injured.
"They also vandalised motorcycles and set fire to my polls office," he added.
Police are trying to bring the situations under control, OC Rahman said.
