As many as 5,733 people have been by various types of cold-related diseases across the country in the last 24 hours till 8m on Monday (Jan 20), the government’s health department said.

Data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room showed that a total of 845 patients have received treatment for acute respiratory infection, reports BSS.
Besides, 2,061 were treated for diarrhea, and 2,827 for other diseases, including jaundice, inflammation in the eye, skin diseases, and fever.
Fifty seven deaths were reported across the country between Nov 1 and Jan 19 due to cold-related diseases.
