Two passersby have been killed in a road accident in Dhaka's Jatrabari.
The incident took place near Jatrabari Saddam Market around 10pm on Thursday (Jan 16), said police.
The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Anwar and 20-year-old Salauddin, both are uncle and nephew by relation.
"While crossing the road, both the passersby were hit by a speeding Anabil Paribahan bus which left them severely injured," said Inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.
They were rescued by locals and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared them dead at 2pm, said Inspector Bachchu Miah.
He added that the bodies have been kept at the hospital for autopsy.
