No new dengue case has been reported in the last 24 hours till 8am on Thursday (Jan 16), the government’s health department said.
As many as 29 patients, currently, were being treated for dengue across Bangladesh including that of 26 in Dhaka, according to the regular update of as Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 152 dengue cases have been reported this year so far. Of them, 123 had been discharged from hospitals, it added.
Bangladesh was hit by a massive outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease last year with the government confirmed 164 deaths caused by dengue so far.
In 2019, 101,354 people were hospitalised with dengue across the country. Of them, 101,037 made full recovery.
