Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted that rain or thundershowers may occur in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am Sunday (Jan 5).
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at a few places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions”, said a met office bulletin issued on Sunday.
Besides, one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Barishal divisions and the region of Kushtia may also experience the light to moderate rain or thunder shower.
“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur at some places over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning,” added the bulletin.
However, night temperature may fall by (1-3)oC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 25.0 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, while Sunday’s minimum temperature was 12.0 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur.
