A total of 137,198 Bangladeshis will perform Hajj in 2020 as per the agreement signed between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh government.

Of them, 17,198 will perform Hajj under government arrangement while 120, 198 will perform their Hajj under private management.

Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs held a meeting over this matter on Sunday (Jan 5).

Meeting sources confirmed the decisions to Bangla Tribune.

Ministry of Religious Affairs also took the decision to create a Hajj calendar to coordinate the process in 2020, sources added.

Hafez Ruhul Amin Madani chaired the standing committee meeting while members of the committee were present.
