Police arrested six “members of banned militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (Huji)”, in the capital's Badda area on Thursday (Dec 26) evening.
The arrestees were active members of Huji, said DMP's Deputy Commissioner (Media), Masudur Rahman.
The Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) made the arrest, he added.
100 mg chloroform, knives and a fake pistol were also discovered from their possessions.
