The government's Department of Films and Publications (DFP) has served notice on the Dainik Sangram asking the Bengali daily why its media enlistment will not be cancelled for publishing a report contrary to the spirit of the Liberation War.
The Jamaat-e-Islami mouthpiece has been asked to respond within three working days, a DFP official told BSS on Sunday (Dec 15).
A copy of the notice has been also forwarded to office of Dhaka district's Deputy Commissioner’s, added the official.
On Dec 13, the Daily Sangram published a report describing executed war criminal Abdul Quader Molla a “martyr”.
