SC order on Destiny bosses bail on Tuesday

On Sunday (Dec 15), the appeals bench led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain scheduled the verdict
In 2012, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) filed two cases against 22 officials of Destiny Group, including Destiny Group Managing Director Rafiqul Amin and Destiny-2000 Ltd Chairman Mohammad Hossain.
The duo is serving in prison now in a money laundering case, which also filed by the graft watchdog.
Destiny Group has amassed Tk 28.62 million investments from clients for its so-called ‘Destiny Multi-purpose Cooperative’ and ‘Tree Plantation Project’.
They reportedly laundered the money. The court had slapped the condition of returning the clients their money for bail.
Later, in 2017, they appealed against the order.
