Dengue case increases again in 24hrs

A total of 42 new dengue patients have been admitted to different hospitals across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours.
Till 8am on Saturday (Dec 14), 26 new patients were admitted in Dhaka and 16 in districts outside the capital.
The Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room at the DGHS, in a regular update issued on Saturday said the number of patients currently undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals in the country are 243.
As many as 153 patients are currently receiving treatment in government and private hospitals in Dhaka, whereas 90 people were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka, the DGHS data said.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has received 264 reports of dengue-related deaths across Bangladesh. It has reviewed 211 of them and confirmed 133 deaths from Jan 1 till Dec 14.
Since Jan 1, till Dec 14, as many as 100,965 people have been affected by dengue.
Among those admitted, a total of 100,458 have been released from their respective hospitals and clinics after treatment.
