As many as 51 new dengue patients have been hospitalised with dengue-related fever across the country in the last 24 hours till 8am on Wednesday (Dec 11), reports UNB.
Twenty-seven of them were hospitalised in Dhaka, the Directorate General of Health Services said in a regular update.
Currently, 243 patients are being treated at different hospitals across Bangladesh including that of 161 are in Dhaka.
As many as 100,879 people were hospitalised with dengue in the country since January. Among them, 100,379 made full recovery, the DGHS said.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research has received 264 reports of dengue-related deaths. After reviewing 211 cases, it has confirmed 133 deaths so far.
