Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed to have arrested two alleged activists of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team conducting an overnight drive in city’s Mirpur area.

The arrestees were identified as Md Manzurul Islam Shohag, 26, and Abbus Uddin, 22.

A team of RAB-4 conducted the drive in KDC area under Pallabi Police Station of Mirpur last night and detained them, Senior ASP (Ops) of RAB-4 Mohammad Sajedul Islam Sajal told Bangla Tribune on Friday (Dec 5).

The law enforcers also recovered leaflets abled making incitement among people, jihadi books, multimedia equipment for video making and dubbing, and mobile handsets from their possession, the official added.
