The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will investigate Dhaka City Corporation three councillors over allegation of acquiring illegal wealth and money laundering.

Dhaka North City Corporation's Iqbal Hossain Titu and Md Shafiqul Islam Sentu, and Moynul Haque Manju of the Dhaka South City Corporation will be summoned for quizzing by investigators, said sources confirming the decision was taken last week.

According to ACC officials, the three councillors stand accused of extortion, land grabbing, real estate fraud, operating illicit gambling dens and drug dealing.
