Bangladesh Road Transport Authority hits the roads to implement the Road Transport Act 2018 on Monday (Nov 18).
Earlier on the day, the regulatory body for road transportation has placed several mobile courts in this regard at several spots of the capital.

Meanwhile, at a road safety discussion organized by Asian University of Bangladesh, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said: “Through the implementation of the new law, discipline will come back to the roads; the fines for breaches of road laws will be enforced in stages.”
The main aim is not to take more money as fines; when the fine is high, there is a tendency to follow rules, said the minister and added: “At the same time, efforts are needed to raise awareness about road discipline.”
