Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained six operatives of the banned militant outfit, Ansar al-Islam, from Dhaka and Satkhira.
The elite police unit detained them while conducting drives in the capital’s Uttara and the southern district’s Shyamnagar, said RAB (Legal and Media wing) Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan on Saturday (Nov 16).
Details will be disclosed at a media briefing that will be held at RAB media centre later in the day, said RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Sarwar Bin Kashem.
